By using Lifescan (the app and website at lifescan.me), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What Lifescan Is
Lifescan is a life assessment tool that provides scores, archetypes, and insights based on your answers to 42 behavioral questions. It is designed for self-reflection and personal development.
What Lifescan Isn't
- Lifescan is not medical advice, therapy, or a clinical diagnostic tool.
- Results should not be used as a substitute for professional mental health, medical, or financial advice.
- If you are in crisis, contact a mental health professional or call a crisis hotline.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any account you create. Assessment results are personal — sharing them is your choice.
Purchases
- Premium features are available via in-app purchase through the Apple App Store.
- All purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled per Apple's refund policy.
- We do not offer direct refunds outside of Apple's process.
AI Analysis Service
- Premium reports are generated using Anthropic's Claude AI service. When you purchase a premium report and consent to AI analysis, the following data is sent to Anthropic: your 42 quiz answers, age, gender, sleep data, and friendship data.
- You must explicitly consent to this data transfer before purchasing. Without consent, no data is sent and no AI report is generated.
- Anthropic processes your data solely to generate your report. Anthropic does not use data sent via their API to train AI models.

Intellectual Property
All content on lifescan.me and within the Lifescan app — including archetype names, readings, blind spot text, scoring methodology, question text, and visual design — is the intellectual property of Lifescan. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
Acceptable Use
Don't use Lifescan to:
- Reverse-engineer or scrape the scoring algorithm
- Automate assessment-taking
- Misrepresent results as clinical diagnoses
- Republish content without attribution
Limitation of Liability
Lifescan is provided "as is." We make no warranties about accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lifescan shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Lifescan operates.
